The newly renovated facility comfortably accommodates many students with different educational goals, from earning their undergraduate or graduate degree to forwarding their professional careers. Once it is passed, next semester we will continue the study and be able to present it next year at a Cystic Fibrosis research convention in Nashville, Tennessee.Lakeland University's Milwaukee Center serves the greater Milwaukee area by providing quality, affordable instruction for adults. We recently had the pleasure of speaking about it on Research Day here at WCU and is currently in the process of being evaluated by the IRB. This was a study that we and another professor-student duo developed and received funding for from West Chester University. Amir also let me work on another on-going Research Project regarding disordered eating patterns in the Cystic Fibrosis Community.
I was able to incorporate a lot of the technical information that I gathered from my later nutrition courses into the paper and was able to impact changes to the study that made me honestly feel important, which is what I personally believe everyone should strive for in their career. I gathered background information for the logistics behind the biochemical data and aided in the overall fluidity of the paper so that it could be well-understood by anyone interested in the topic. Amir allowed me to work on an on-going research project, that was based on vitamin D/calcium deficiencies in the Middle East and North Africa regions and the integration of the Teff grain to aid in replenishing those deficiencies.
I personally loved the one-on-one training I received from my professor in the West Chester University Nutrition Department.
